The DeKalb County Health Department will continue its electronic waste collections in 2017; DC Trash of Cortland will serve as the county's electronics waste vendor.
This year's schedule is as follows:
1st Saturday of month -- Grove and 4th Street in DeKalb, 9:00 to 11:00 a.m.
2nd Saturday of month -- 750 Duvick Road (East Water Tower) in Sandwich, 12:30 to 2:30 p.m.
4th Saturday of even months -- City Lot, Route 30 in Waterman, 9:00 to 11:00 a.m.
4th Saturday of odd months -- 206 S. Blackhawk Road in Shabbonna, 9:00 to 11:00 a.m.
Every weekday -- DC Trash, 14438 E. North Ave. in Cortland, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Residents are welcome to recycle any item with a plug or battery, with the exception of smoke detectors and alkaline batteries made after 1995.
Fees will be charged for the following items:
Computer monitors -- $10
TVs 18" or smaller -- $20
TVs 19" or larger -- $30
Appliances with freon -- $5 - $15 (includes refrigerators, air conditioners, dehumidifiers, etc.)
All other items are FREE
